Streets of Bali

Streets of Bali by Jason Sonny
Streets of Bali, a photo by Jason Sonny on Flickr.

Like the title, it's a shot of the streets in Bali. Well it's basically the skies since you can't see too much of the streets. Did some HDR in this shot and it looks amazing with the slight sunset, and the clouds in the skies going towards the sun.

Sunset at Uluwatu Village

This was a picture taken during my trip to Bali with the school. Went to this village during the afternoon to take a tour around the place. We ended up watching a drama performed by the villagers there and also got a chance to see the beautiful sunset.

Colors of Christmas

Yes it's almost halfway through 2013 already and I'm still posting about Christmas.

Well here's a picture for you if you don't mind, this was taken during 2012 Christmas day, and it's just a small tree sitting in my house.

Did a little HDR, but I don't think you can see it.

Nowhere

Nowhere, a photo by Jason Sonny on Flickr.

Here's a shot taken when I'm traveling around my city, up to the hills and just enjoying the day.

This shot was taken again with my iPhone, and I'm really amazed with the colors and quality of the image even if it's from a small smartphone.

Here's a picture of my artwork (finally something for school purposes), it's a push pin art created for my Art project. It's halfway done, still needs to be painted and added more push pin. But so far, I'm happy with it.

Streets of Hong Kong

This is a shot taken when I'm in Hong Kong with my family and some other relatives. Took this shot while I was waiting for the light to turn green as there was no traffic at all.

This shot is actually one shot, but tweaked so that the shadow areas and the highlighted areas are shown.

Ferry Time!

Here's one more shot taken with my trusty iPhone, a shot taken from the building looking down at the ferry that I will be getting on in order to get to some place in China.

Looking at the picture amazes me how great an iPhone can be used as a camera when in need.

This is a shot taken with my iPhone at night during my trip to Singapore with my family.

Yes this shot is edited using effects, that's why it has those film look into it.

Highway

This is the shot I took standing on a bridge with my friends, the bridge was still under construction so that's why I can take shots over there. Going to the bridge was pretty far although it was just in my city.

This shot is to show how busy it is to see the highway of Indonesia, cars travelling different directions everyday, working, travelling, or for leisure.

Black & White - Tree

Here's one picture I took somewhere around the city I live in. Travelling to there was a pain in the ass. I had to travel under the hot sun, into the mud. What's more? I still have to walk to the fields in order to get the shot.
This shot was actually going to be used as one of my artwork for school, but at the end I decided not to.

Angry Bird

Here's what I got from my mother today, it looks amazing, and it's also fun since I get to throw it around just like the game itself. Once I received this from my mother, I started playing it right away, throwing it around the room, hitting things and so on. It was fun, and sure lots of fun :)

Promemoria

Here's a little jacket my class made, it shows us that we're a class and we're together in unity. Well basically because we all wear the same jacket. At the back of it, it's written Promemoria in Italian (I think), which is "remainder" in English. I believe it's telling us that we should remind ourselves what we've been through during our high school lives together as a class. In front of it, it's writter "13", simply because our class will graduate in the year 2013. This will surely bring memories in the future.

NEW YEAR!

Happy New Year by Jason Sonny
Happy New Year, a photo by Jason Sonny on Flickr.

It's new year time, welcoming 2012 with some fireworks outside my house. Small party was held in my uncle's house, which is right in front of where I live. I gather with my whole family, well not all of them, had dinner and also had some fun talking with each other. This shot is memorable because it lets me know that i should put everything that has happened in 2011 aside, and welcome the brand new year with a smile and happiness.

note that there isn't a firework like this, therefore it's photoshopped :)

Christmas time!

Christmas Tree and Gifts by Jason Sonny

Here's a shot I took just before 2011's Christmas. A little Christmas tree about 2 - 3 feet was set up in my house, surrounded by TONS of chocolates, and only chocolates. There's isn't much to say about this image, but it sure is one of my favorite HDR shot!

A HDR view outside the plane

Here's another shot that I can't take out from my memory, a lot of things happen during this trip some bad, some good. This was a trip with my class, and also my seniors, to another big island in Indonesia to do our service project, where we teach and basically interact with the students there. It was a time where we can get along with our friends while we're at the hotel, and also just to shop there. On the plane home, I was cleaning my camera, and the lenses, and something really bad happened. I left my SD card on THAT plane. It was a good lesson to be learned, we should always, and ALWAYS make sure we keep our SD card in somewhere safe before doing anything stupid, like changing to another SD card. Therefore this was the only shot I have during the trip.

One of my favorite night shot.

This is one of my favorite night shot, well I believe this is the ONLY night shot I'll ever take because they are all a pain in the ass to take. But if done correctly, it's a thing of beauty. A little story behind this shot is that my friend and I were out walking just trying to find inspirational things to photograph, but I didn't bring my camera with me at that moment. Then time starts passing by, and we went to this place (or lake) which is quite close to where I stay. I was lazy, and I didn't want to go home and get my camera so I decided to borrow my friend's camera instead. Thus, that's why you can see that this shot is taken using a Canon 600D, which is obviously not mine.

My first indoor flash shoot!

Here's one of the shot I took indoor with an external flash pointing upward to create those "bounce flash" thingy. This shot was taken in my first trial, and BANG, right on the target. Everything was nicely exposed, and it seems to be pretty sharp. Although some edits were made to make things better, but this is one of the shot that helped me starting knowing more about flash photography.

One of my teacher, whom I shall say is the best!

Evan and GeEmpat by Jason Sonny

Here's one of my teacher (the guy in the middle), well he's no longer my teacher because he's now teaching in another school over at Prague. This shot was taken at our class' last meeting with him, and we decided to sit in a restaurant, eat, and talk about random things that came up in our mind. The four gentlemen beside him are close friends of each other, created a "gang" so called the "GeEmpat" or "G4" in English. This is one of the most memorable shot I've ever took.
